Food Application and Technology Transfer Center

The food application and technology transfer center, under the Faculty of Food Science and  Technology, was established in 2019 to carry out activities of connection and cooperation with the business community, including 02 key functions: 

  • Researching: 

Research and technology transfer and product. 

Research cooperation in product improvement and new product development.

  • Training:

Training in product development activities

Establishing and building the research and development center (R&D center) 

Training and consulting activities of management and improvement of technology, products, and production efficiency 

Training to use food additives effectively and safely.

The staff and lecturers of the Center have been highly qualified, enthusiastic, enthusiastic, dedicated, and did their best with a common goal:

Creating many innovative products to bring real effects to businesses.

Creating domestic value-added for agricultural products throughout the processing and development of these products

Creating an environment promoting scientific research activities, and developing products for lecturers and students.

 

 Lecturers and staffs of the center

In addition, the central facilities include 11 practice laboratories specialized in food technology, such as a food laboratory, tea - coffee - cocoa laboratory, wine - beer - beverage laboratory, fruits, and vegetable laboratory, sauces and spices laboratory, sugar - cake – candy laboratory, meat-aquatic product laboratory, oil-milk products laboratory, food packaging laboratory, sensory evaluation of food laboratory, and 3 research laboratories specialized in food technology. The equipment of the Center is always upgraded, which response well to the operation and development process for the purpose of creating practical value for society.

The main research direction of the Food application and technology transfer center is the development of the following products

- Baked goods, including bread, orchids, mooncakes, cookies,.. and accompanying products, including filling, and topping products. 

- Ready-to-use powders used for the production of cakes, and dessert products.

- Beverage products, including soft drinks, nutritional water from fruits, herbs, and other agricultural products.
